Quick intro to Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints (part 0)

After watching Eric Berlow’s TED Talk ‘How Complexity Leads to Simplicity’ I couldn’t help but write Eric an email to introduce him to the Theory of Constraints.

He asked me for a ‘good quick read’ and because I couldn’t find anything I liked, I decided to write my own QIT-GTOC. And then I thought more people might want to benefit from such an effort, so I decided to put it online in installments.

I don’t claim to be original, merely to organize the bits and pieces in one place.

Here’s a preliminary list of what to expect in future (irregular) posts:

  1. The Four Pillars of TOC
  2. The Five Focusing Steps
  3. The Four Principles of Flow
  4. The Thinking Processes
  5. TOC Applications
  6. Is TOC the Grand Theory of Everything?
  7. Resources

Any comments or questions are more than welcome.
